RoHS II CE ROHS COMPLIANT

The European Union has established requirements for Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) in all Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE). Please see Directive 2011/65/EU which entered into force 21 July 2011 becoming effective 2 January 2013.

CE Mark

RoHS II is a CE mark Directive requiring the CE mark to demonstrate compliance to RoHS II. No other mark indicates compliance to RoHS II. The addition of the CE mark is the responsibility of Cable Shed and is done so after specified product safety and conformance testing is performed. The CE mark is applied to finished EEE that have met the specifications set forth by The Cable Shed, Ltd.

Certification of Compliance

Cable Shed certifies that to its knowledge all products conform to the requirements of the European Union’s Restriction on Use of Hazardous Substances in EEE RoHS II Directive, 2011/65/EU which may or may not include exemptions in the directive.

Declaration of Conformity (DoC) and Technical File Documentation

To comply with RoHS II, all CE marked products require a Declaration of Conformity (DoC) and that a technical file be made available upon request. For finished EEE where The Cable Shed, Ltd is the legal manufacturer, Cable Shed will provide the DoC and the technical documentation. Cable Shed will continue to make available part-specific Certificates of Compliance demonstrating compliance to the banned substances of RoHS II.

The six substances affected are:

• Lead (Pb)

• Hexavalent chromium (Cr +6) • Mercury (Hg)

• Polybrominated biphenyl (PBB)

• Cadmium (Cd)

• Polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE)

Based on our own internal analyses, vendor supplied analyses, and/or material certifications of the raw materials used in the manufacture of The Cable Shed cabling products, we declare that all products currently comply with and conform to RoHS regulations.

REACH

REACH, EC 1907/2006, is the European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use. This legislation deals with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and restriction of Chemical substances. The law entered into force on June 1, 2007. REACH obligates manufacturers to ensure specified chemical usage is registered with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) in Helsinki, Finland. Registration includes supplying data such as chemical types and uses, volumes per annum and test data results.

As of December 2013, the ECHA had identified 151 "candidate" Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC). Based on our own internal analyses, vendor supplied analyses, and/or material certifications of the raw materials used in the manufacture of Honeywell products, we declare that all products, and their packaging, do not contain any of these SVHCs in concentration above 0.1%. (A full list of banned substances is available at this link: http://echa.europa.eu/web/guest/candidate-list-table

WEEE

For European Community Users

The Cable Shed complies with Directive 2012/19/EU OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 27 January 2003 on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Information

This product has required the extraction and use of natural resources for its production. It may contain hazardous substances that could impact health and the environment, if not properly disposed. In order to avoid the dissemination of those substances in our environment and to diminish the pressure on the natural resources, we encourage you to use the appropriate take-back systems for product disposal. Those systems will reuse or recycle most of the materials of the product you are disposing in a sound way.

The crossed out wheeled bin symbol informs you that the product should not be disposed of along with municipal waste and invites you to use the appropriate separate take-back systems for product disposal.

If you need more information on the collection, reuse and recycling systems, please contact your local or regional waste administration.

You may also contact your supplier for more information on the environmental performances of this product.

Sincerely,
